Prince Charming
Small-but effective-Adelaide-based company, FPMS is proving that small can be dynamic in achieving success for their clients. Directors Jo Adams and Kenn Dolan formed FPMS four years ago to support a rapidly growing community of PRINCE2 (PRojects IN a Controlled Environment) users that include Department of Defence, Commonwealth and State Government agencies and utilities.
"Organisations are looking to have more control over the outcome of their projects," stated Jo, an experienced architect, interior designer and current Board member of the newly inaugurated SA Chapter of PMI. "PRINCE2 provides stakeholders with the necessary framework and structure to establish and maintain that control throughout the duration of the project."
"PRINCE2 project management methodology was developed in the UK to combat the fact that about two-thirds of projects initiated in any given area fail-the rate is higher for IT projects," Kenn explains. He is expert in productivity and implementing performance improvement strategies and is currently President of the SA Chapter of the Australian Performance Management Association.
"Once we have established a PRINCE2 Project Environment within our client organisations, our clients very quickly experience the benefits that the controlled Project Environment brings. Some have reported increased project success rate in excess of 30% and greater business benefits realisation," continued Kenn.
