Dragonfly Cleans up using Basic Tools
Designing software that exactly fits a client’s requirement is every IT provider’s ultimate goal, but it’s an elusive one that often founders on the difficulty of working with unsuitable software.
Adelaide-based Dragonfly Software has developed methodology that applies a template of client requirements over existing, very common Microsoft programs to minimise functionality and training issues.
Principal Katrina Finlayson says 18 years of aggregate experience in software development helps Dragonfly Software practice what it preaches on standardisation with flexibility.
“As product differentiation becomes increasingly more challenging to achieve in the crowded business marketplace, process (or 'workflow') differentiation is becoming a smart way for businesses to achieve that much-desired 'sustainable competitive advantage',” Katrina says.
Dragonfly ‘maps’ software to the workflow of a company and recently created an extensive business system for the Adelaide-based, national importing distributor of commercial and industrial laundry equipment, Richard Jay Laundry Equipment. Richard Jay has a heavy sales focus and has grown to the point where an integrated sales management process, from first contact with the customer to order fulfillment, is imperative.
