Hire Purpose
IT equipment hire firm Hire Intelligence specialises in renting computer equipment for events, short-term projects, etcetera but the firm has taken a step up.
A newly-opened hire facility at 74 Pirie Street (company HQ is in Gilles Street) has been set up as a training room designed for corporates to take over as an extension of their own facilities.
Hire Intelligence chief executive Greg Turner says the move came about when his company realised it could ease pressure on their office space by outsourcing training purposes.
“Corporates found that they didn’t want people using training facilities in their own workplace because they needed to get out of an environment where they could be distracted by emails and telephone calls, etc.”
Less inclined to be interrupted, staff can better concentrate on their training. Outsourcing the venue can save the infrastructure costs in setting up in-house facilities, allowing a greater investment in the training itsel...
