Sensible Approach to Irrigation
Australian based Sentek Sensor Technologies has revolutionised irrigation scheduling over the past 12 years, both nationally and internationally, with its range of soil moisture monitoring solutions for all irrigation management applications. Sentek’s technology has helped to visualise the invisible dynamics of the crop-water-soil-atmosphere interactions into easy to understand pictures that irrigators can use to manage their day-to-day irrigation.
Sentek’s products are used in agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, wastewater management, research, mining and environmental industries around the world. Started with grower investment, Sentek has grown from a three-man team in the early 1990s to a company that currently support over 50 distributors, with hundreds of sales locations around the world. Sales are driven through this carefully selected network of qualified and licensed distributors across five continents. Sentek exports the majority of its water management products to growing markets in the US, UK, Europe, Asia and South America.
In the year 2000, Sentek began to expand its product range from its original, continuous soil moisture monitoring solution EnviroSCAN®, to the release of the portable Diviner 2000®. From the international success Diviner 2000® experienced, Sentek further released two new probes in the matter of 14 months, namely the EnviroSMARTTM and EasyAG®. With the release of the EnviroSMARTTM and EasyAG®, saw Sentek’s company focus shift to an open integration platform.
Since the company’s inception, Sentek has promoted packaged proprietary products.
