Larkins new CITB chief
The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has appointed Stephen Larkins as CEO. Stephen was previously GM at Clements Recruitment, following his role as State Manager of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Stephen’s career includes 20 years in the army. CITB trains more than 25,000 industry employees annually.
Whitbread named national partner for DTT
Deloitte has appointed Deloitte Adelaide Partner, David Whitbread to its national Board of Partners. David is only Board member residing outside of Sydney and Melbourne. He specialises in strategic board advisory services and has extensive experience in the finance, retail, transport, manufacturing, tourism and hospitality, and primary production industries.
Also at DTT, Megan Field has been promoted to principal within the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Tax Services group. She has extensive experience in providing tax and business advice to large private and public companies with particular emphasis on the sale and acquisition of businesses, taxation of foreign expatriates and fringe benefits tax and salary packaging.
Sue Edwards has been promoted to Director within the Deloitte Growth Solutions Group, which provides tailored solutions for fast growing enterprises. Sue has extensive experience in banking and finance and works with SMEs across a broad range of industry sectors. Sue is a member of Deloitte’s Global Environmental and Sustainability Services Group.
Murphy to lead merged Freight Council
South Australian Freight Council (SAFC) has appointed Neil Murphy as Executive Officer. Neil has more than 20 years experience in the areas of economic development, freight logistics and marine policy, mainly within the SA public sector.
SAFC Chairman, Vincent Tremaine said the appointment follows the merger of the separate State sea, air and land freight councils – to form the SAFC — earlier this year.
