Rural Authority Wins Telstra Award
Agribusiness consultants Rural Directions Pty Ltd will contest the national final after winning the South Australian leg of the 2003 Telstra and South Australian Government Small Business Awards.
On the way to the overall award, Rural Directions collected the MYOB Business Award also.
“Going through the application process offers the opportunity to view where you’ve been, where you are now and what opportunities may lie in the future,” says Managing Director, David Heinjus.
David and Chris Heinjus are contributors to In—Business magazine.
Rural Directions Pty Ltd focuses on providing innovative services in production, farm management and grain marketing. These consultancy services are complimented by their capacity in contract research and development, large scale project management and their understanding of rural and regional issues and opportunities.
The awards program offers small businesses the opportunity to take an objective look at their operations. The submission process asks a company to examine their business performance from every angle, including financials, planning, customer service and their people.
“Being advised that we are finalists was fantastic. It signifies the fact that we have many correct processes in place,” David says. “However, we believe there are many opportunities for Rural Directions Pty Ltd to continue to develop and grow”.
