WHAT DO FIGURES TELL US?

They tell us the score; whether we are making money, losing money or just breaking even. They also give us a wealth of information in the areas of:

• Sales
• Expenses
• People and machine productivity
• Efficiencies
• And other areas you’d like to know how you’re performing in.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE GIVE OUR MANAGERS?

Usually not enough! These people are hired to help us to manage the business, yet we deny them the one tool that they need, which is ‘are we making money, losing money or breaking even?’ That is, what result do they achieve for their effort?

You may be giving your managers sales or even gross contribution figures but imagine how their understanding of your business could increase if you showed them the full financial statements.
