Chariot begins B2B Expansion
A spate of ISP acquisitions last year has left Chariot with branches in four states, represented in regional centres such as Gawler and Victor Harbor in South Australia, Ballarat, Geelong, Dandenong and Bendigo in Victoria, Orange and Armidale in New South Wales, and from the New South Wales coastal area of Coffs Harbor through to the Gold Coast and as far north as Cairns in Queensland.
By mid—2003, within a mere 12 months, Chariot had acquired nine regional ISPs in South Australia, Queensland and New South Wales to better than double its client base.
“These acquisitions are a low cost means of increasing Chariot’s customer base, and place us well for our targeted 150,000 users by 30 June, 2004," Chariot chief, John Horlin—Smith said last year.
The network is managed from Chariot’s head office on Greenhill Road, Eastwood and the Chariot Data Centre is in the Adelaide CBD.
