SA Great . . . putting it on the line
Each year the SA Great Annual Dinner provides the perfect opportunity to showcase a successful industry sector that plays an important part in making SA Great. After the success of last year’s event they have again decided to take the best of South Australian fashion and design and will be ‘putting it on the line’ on Friday, July 23.
Using the South Australian icon the Hills Hoist, well established internationally renowned designers, young up and coming designers, and students from the Marleston Tafe Campus will hang out their very latest designs, not only on the famous clotheslines that will decorate the Adelaide Convention Centre for the function, but also in a sensational fashion parade over the course of the dinner. There will be a projection exhibition of jewellery design from Craft South, handbags from Ultrafunki, footwear and millinery to complement the fashion parade.
The fashion houses to be showcased at the dinner include RM Williams, George Gross and Harry Who, Rapsimo, Miss Gladys Sim Choon, Alexis George, Joseph Uzumcu, Saville Row, Alpha Beta Gamma, Saltbush, and Live Life Designs alongside up and coming young designers Materialism Clothing, It Girl, Zen De Zine, Mimoko and Handmade by Robots. Graduate and current students from Marleston Tafe will also take part in the parade.
