Riverland trainer with global vision gets nod for national award
A South Australian training provider that works with rural businesses across the country is in the running for a national training award.
South Australia’s River Murray Training (RMT) is a finalist in the Small Training Provider of the Year category of the 2004 Australian Training Awards to be held in Melbourne next month.
Headquartered in Berri, RMT specialises in training for the wine and rural industries. It operates in regional Australia with low population densities and often large distances between towns of any significant size. Clients are often in production-driven environments, which can create logistical problems in scheduling classroom style training.
RMT is also working with a client in California (US) developing new products and services for the global market.
