Temptation’s Many Ports of Call
Building your own dream is immensely satisfying, and tourism entrepreneur Stephen Waites has had two bites at that cherry.
After training in the building industry, Stephen founded Advanced Roofing when he was 21 years old and built the business up over 10 years before selling up in 1998.
Then he accomplished a complete change of lifestyle, purchasing a 44 foot Shaun Arbor designed racing catamaran to follow his ambition to sail. After cruising the coast of Queensland for 14 months, Stephen decided not to establish his charter business up there, but to return to Adelaide to launch his new career.
Temptation Sailing Pty Ltd, based at the new Holdfast Shores marina in Glenelg, is a highly successful charter yacht operating that carries up to 53 day passengers (or 19 overnight) on short or extended cruises along the South Australian coast, including overnight trips to Kangaroo Island.
