New release Coonawarra 99s
Excellent wines from a very small cropping year. As young wines they're interesting to drink with fantastic complexity and balance. Looks like a repeat of 1991 again.
99 Bowen Estate Cabernet $17.00. More drinkable than ever. Excellent depth with cherry and stonefruit characters. Rounded and perfectly balanced.
99 Bowen Estate Shiraz $30.00. Very young with intense, almost cinnamon herbaceous character. Real depth and richness. Almost huge.
99 Parker Estate Terra Rossa $33.00. Long blackberry sweet oak character with the finest tea leaf tannins. Always evolving.
99 Parker Estate 1st Growth $85.00. More to it than the 98. Much smaller yielding year producing a better balanced wine. Mulberry, with a sweet blackberry, plum character, lovely lush mouthfeel and a side palate sweetness. More subtle, savoury and totally balanced. For the long haul.
99 Wetheral Coonawarra Cabernet $26.00. Old vine concentration here. A lovely satisfying wine. A name to watch.
Turkey Flat
New releases and a very impressive range. A wild succulent rose with a dollop of Dolcetto in the blendchanges everything. Very elegant Shiraz. Cabernet is clearly the best yet. A beauty.
01 Turkey Flat Rose $16.00.
99 Turkey Flat Shiraz $37.00.
99 Turkey Flat Cabernet $35.00.
