the need for clear leadership
Australian organisations are coping with the most radical restructuring period in our history, and business leaders and managers are the ones bearing the brunt of change.
They are probably impacted more than most staff, since they are not only responsible for the business outcomes but also for dealing with the often volatile human issues as well as understandable concern about their own performance, job security, income and lifestyle.
TMP Worldwide, SA’s largest HR consultancy, is well aware of these issues. TMP e-resourcing divisional manager, Bob Cooper says TMP research shows a strong need for individual attention to leaders and managers.
“More and more, managers are expected to be leaders, but often do not have a clear model to base their leadership on,” Bob says.
It is one thing to understand the notion of leadership, but quite another to actually know the capability, potential and development needs of managers and leaders.
