The Council of The Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) has announced the election of Reg Nelson as Chairman.
Reg is Managing Director of Australian oil and gas producer and explorer, Beach Petroleum Limited, and is also APPEA’s South Australian chair.
Seeley appoints new MD
Senior automotive executive Paul Proctor is joining Adelaide-based air-conditioning manufacturer Seeley International as managing director.
Mr Proctor has more than 25 years experience in manufacturing, the past eight years in executive roles with automotive components companies in the United States, Europe and Australia.
He has been general manager of Air International operations in Australia since 2002, and prior to that was international president of Cooper Standard Automotive.
He also held various senior positions with Tenneco Automotive companies, including vice president of both Monroe and Walker in North America and managing director of Monroe Australia.
Mr Proctor was born in Sheffield, England, and emigrated to Australia in 1982.
He replaces Michael Nagel, who is retiring after four years as Seeley's managing director.
Baker joins board of kwp!
kwp! Advertising’s head of client service, John Baker, has joined the board as a director of the company. Baker, 35, joined the company in 1994, just three years after the formation of the agency by founding partners Andrew Killey and Peter Withy.
Andrew says the rise of "JB" was integral to the agency’s future growth.
"JB has shown incredible strategic and leadership qualities over the years he has been with us," said Killey. "People such as JB are not only the future of agencies such as kwp! but also of the industry. We owe it to our clients and ourselves to keep investing in youth and JB is a great example of that."
