Enterprising winner beats the drum
"Made with Passion to be Played with Passion" is the slogan of the 2004 winning team of the South Australian Enterprise Workshop, Mud Drum Australia, presented at the 2004 State Finals Awards.
They won the Workshop’s prestigious major award - The Department of Trade and Economic Development’s Enterprise Development Award, as well as the Marketing Award, presented by Workshop sponsor, Café L’Affaire.
The Mud Drum team, which has formed during this year’s Workshop course backs up the founder of Mud Drum Australia, Jodie Ensor, who won a partial scholarship to the Workshop after completing the SAYES program.
Mud Drum Australia was presented with the Workshop’s major award at October’s State presentation function at Einsteins, at the Thebarton Innovation Centre, a part of the Adelaide University’s Thebarton campus.
Other South Australian Enterprise Workshop awards presented included:
- The National Australia Bank Best Financial Plan Award was won by Track 2 Track, a magazine publication for the horse training industry, created by Penny Verco, another SAYES participant.
- Mr Andrew Penn won the Australian Institute of Company Directors Leadership Award for having the potential for developing as a Company Director.
- The Mentor’s Award was presented to Mr Travis James, a 1987 Workshop participant who assisted the Mud Drum Australia team in developing their business plan.
