New direction for young SA Great campaign
The future looks bright...
Recently SA Great released the first pair of six brand new television and radio commercials and a series of press and outdoor advertisements as part of the 2005 SA Great State Media Campaign, ‘…the future looks bright!’ and will launch the next two profiles as part of this campaign in June.
The new commercials feature inspiring and impressive young South Australians.
Meet Brad Donaldson, 21 years young, the 2004 Australian Apprentice of the Year and a toolmaker at Clipsal Strathalbyn. Brad’s career really switched on when he decided to undertake an apprenticeship trade. He believes that there are so many opportunities for young people who want to take on a trade as a career in South Australia saying, that "once you have a trade, you’ve got a job for life".
"South Australia . . . I wouldn’t trade it for the world!" says Brad.
Meet Kelly Bourlotos, 25 years young, an Electronics Engineer, Software Developer and the Strategy and Business Planning Lead for BAE Systems, Edinburgh Parks. Kelly’s career really took off in the defence industry since graduating with an Electronics Engineering degree. She believes that the opportunities in the defence industry here in South Australia are endless. Kelly has the opportunity to work on really amazing projects; in fact, she has even written software for an operational mission simulator that trains the mission crew of a 737/700 aircraft as part of Project Wedgetail!
"The sky’s the limit in South Australia!" says Kelly.
Meet Liza Emanuele, 31 years young, a fashion designer and owner of her own label It Girl. Liza was recently invited to showcase her work at the prestigious Mercedes Australian Fashion Week for the second year in a row. Liza believes that the creative energy in South Australia has really inspired her and that South Australia is a colourful, vibrant and exciting place to be.
