BankSA launches wealth vehicle
BankSA Private Bank debuted in July as the State's largest bank pitched to the steadily growing market of wealthy South Australians. The VIP banking service will offer members “exclusive investment opportunities, Australia's most prestigious credit card and a dedicated expert to manage all their banking needs”.
BankSA Managing Director Mr Rob Chapman said the appointment followed an exhaustive search which identified a team to work under ex-CBA executive, Neil Verringer.
Prescott becomes a sharebroker
Prescott Consultants Limited gained admission to the ASX in July and is now Prescott Securities. CEO Darryl Gobbett says the move to sharebroking better reflects the service Prescott offers clients and is a response to the local reduction of sharebroking firms over recent years.
Prescott Securities will continue to provide a full range of wealth management services, a process Darryl says focuses on “patient and longer-term investing strategies'' for private clients, superannuation funds and charitable institutions.
“This often involves taking a contrary view about good quality investments and buying them when others are selling for short-term reasons,” he says.
The firm has 29 private client advisers making it one of the State's largest stockbrokers. Following the recent acquisition of specialist financial planning business, Financial Management Services the Prescott office at Eastwood is home to 90 employees.
