Take-away website, tailored to suit
Website designers Emma Bonnett and Antoni Juricin set up shop in February 2004, coming from backgrounds in multimedia, web development and graphic design.
Their company Red Juice Design and Communication Studio, engaged a predominantly corporate clientele, with clients including the SA Jockey Club as well as smaller professional organisations.
In late 2004, Emma and Ante extended their skills in a different way. Forming a sister company, Web To Go, the pair developed the notion that they should give the customers exactly what they want.
The concept is simple, based on web templates. You could do it yourself - scout on-line to find website designs that suit your needs, shorlist designs into a pool, then choose the one that best meets your requirements.
Pay the copyright owner (often a large US-owned company) a licence fee to use the design.
Presto! You have a website template that reflects your business, lists your products and services, showcases your skills and experience, and wows potential customers with animation and flashing things⦠all for the cost of the template purchase price.
Or it could, if you knew a thing or two about website construction or possessed the skills to modify a website in-house.
But what if you don’t? What if your skills in area are limited to checking movie timetables and email?
You could study text books and ‘how to’ guides in your spare time - or you could hire a web designer...
