It‘s Dorinda‘s one-woman empire
A culinary icon of South Australia, Dorinda Hafner does love to talk. She is passionate about food, passionate about culture and passionate about her mission in life — to bring the good things in life to as many people as possible.
At Small Business Week, Dorinda will be sharing her experience of life on the world stage, but more importantly her experience of being an entrepreneur in a field where you are your product and most important asset.
Dorinda came to Australia from England as a dispensing optician and registered nurse but soon became involved in theatre and film.
Her work has been seen on TV in more than 40 countries where her five A Taste Of ... food anthropology programs have screened.
Also with several books (two bestsellers) to her credit, Dorinda is a public speaker, TV presenter, musical performer, trainer and businesswoman.
She lives in South Australia but is constantly on the move around Australia, the UK and USA.
“I’ve been busy — I’m lucky if I can spend two nights in a row at home,”she says.
Into her heavy schedule of appearances, and motivational speaking she has to fit TV shooting work and writing which still occupies much of her time.
The workload is demanding, but Dorinda understands that building her profile is a matter of constant investment. That, and you have to believe in what you are doing.
