Book reveals the benefit of our business spirit
Fifty of South Australia’s leading entrepreneurs have been profiled in a new book launched to showcase some of the great businesses in this State.
State of Mind: The success secrets of 50 South Australian entrepreneurs has been written by Chris Doudle and Karen Baldwin, from leading communications firm Strategic Public Relations.
Its profiles include many of the business leaders responsible for building companies profiled in the recent ‘In Business Top 100’ list.
“Our intention was to specifically highlight great South Australian businesses,”
Mr Doudle said. “There are plenty of books about Australian entrepreneurs generally, but this State in particular has some exceptional entrepreneurial business talent.
“We wanted to focus on some of these people and the lessons they learned as they were building their businesses.”
While State of Mind features some of South Australia’s best-known business faces – such as real estate guru Anthony Toop, Wendy’s Supa Sundaes co-founder Geoff Davis and Pizza Haven co-founder Evan Christou – it also includes numerous “quiet achievers” who have built exceptional businesses but who have a much lower public profile.
“The aim was to profile individuals whose stories demonstrate starkly different business scenarios and the lessons that can be drawn from the entrepreneurs’ own experience,” Mr Doudle said.
