Caversham’s green block
A unique project on a scale not attempted since Adelaide was founded, the City Central precinct is intended to “create a prestige corporate address, with superbly landscaped open plazas and walkways, a centre square, refurbished heritage buildings, leisure and recreational facilities and a blend of bars, cafes and restaurants”.
Tower One, the first stage of Caversham Property’s masterplanned precinct is expected to be one of the most energy efficient buildings in Australia, shooting for 5 Star Green Star and 5 Star ABGR ratings.
Tower One will provide over 31,000 sqm of accommodation, boasting reduced outgoings due to lower energy and water usage than comparable alternatives.
Caversham’s manager of major projects, Bob Boorman, took on the City Central challenge after leading the Holdfast Shores redevelopment at Glenelg.
Bob is happy with progress on Tower One, in Waymouth Street, which is on track for completion by the end of 2006.
