Green hot solutions at ecoliving expo
The consumer trend towards buying green has caused a boom in eco-related products, with demand for eco-living products increasing as consumers realise they can make a real difference to environmental health through their purchasing choices.
“People now have power and influence over manufacturers and service providers,” says Adrienne Stephens of Melbourne’s Eco-Buy, a past participant in ecolivingexpo, which comes to the Royal Adelaide Showgrounds and the Ridley Centre on the weekend of 3-4 June.
The expo showcases products and services that promote environmental responsibility or are contributing to a sustainable future through design, construction and operation.
Expo visitors will find practical explanations of the benefits of buying green and how becoming more environmentally responsible can not only help improve their quality of life, but also save them money.
This year, displays will range from solar energy, energy efficient housing designs, ecotourism, water conservation methods, organic gardens and wines to personal care products , ethical investment, green loans and more.
Financial institution Savings & Loans, the first SA -based financial institution to sign the UN Environment Program Finance Initiative, has adopted a program to offset its car fleet’s CO2 emissions and has set up a product range to encourage its members to support the environment.
