Hunt begins again for bright stuff
Now a fixture on the Adelaide business calendar, Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year campaign kicked off in early March with a launch event at the Adelaide Town Hall.
Nominations closed in March and contestants will be judged through a process starting in May and proceeding through consideration of regional finalists which concludes in August.
Finalists are judged against six criteria: entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, personal integrity and influence, financial performance, strategic direction, and national and global impact.
Since the concept began in the USA in 1986 many EoY alumni are now leading blue chip companies in North America; local veterans of the rigorous process told this year’s launch audience of the benefit they’d gained.
