SA celebrates innovation all over
By celebrating innovation and its heroes we go a long way towards nurturing a culture of success.
The Australian Innovation Festival is Australia’s largest industry festival for promoting Australian innovation and entrepreneurship. The festival runs nationally from Wednesday 26 April to Sunday 14 May 2006 with events running in all states and territories.
The Festival marks its fifth anniversary this year and promises to be bigger and better than ever with a renewed focus on the “four Cs” —creativity, connections, collaboration and commercialisation.
The Festival launches on 27 April at the National Wine Centre, featuring key note speakers from the state’s ICT and bioscience sectors.
The program of events for South Australia displays the broad application of innovation across our State. Regional cities Mount Gambier, Naracoorte, Robe, Millicent and Keith figure as event venues. Program highlight events include:
Connecting Up 06
1 & 2 May 2006, Hyatt Regency Adelaide. Community Information Strategies Australia’s (CISA) national conference brings together more than 200 community, government and business people involved in delivering information and communications technology (ICT) projects with a community focus. It will feature both national and international speakers, as well as practical workshops and vendor displays, on the use of ICT.
Limestone Coast Innovation Festival
26 April — 12 May 2006. The Limestone Coast Innovation Festival features events such as Innovation in Aquaculture Limestone Coast Trout, Innovation in Land and Water and Biotechnology Science in the Pub and will explore and examine how new technologies will impact on society.
