AIEx half century of precise export
There’s much more to successful exporting than helping your valuable goods find a way to market. So much more, in fact, that a specialised body has spent the past half-century helping Australian businesses learn how to jump through the hoops.
The Australian Institute of Export was established in 1956 by a visionary group that foresaw a need to train businesses in export processes. Today, the AIEx remains a not-for-profit private sector organisation that operates in all states and this year has trained more than 10,000 exporters across Australia.
“Over the years many key South Australian exporters and freight forwarders have insisted their staff be trained through the AIEx,” says executive officer, Wendy Rush.
“They recognise that equipping them with the appropriate skills helps save time, prevents errors and ensures prompt payment for exports. This contribution to the exporters’ bottom line shows what an enormous impact the AIEx has on the business ...
