SA doubles tourism tally

South Australian Tourism Award Winners at the 2005 Australian Tourism Awards

South Australia doubled its 2005 haul at this year’s National Tourism Awards on the Gold Coast recently.

Clipsal 500 Adelaide won the major festivals and events category.

Australia’s largest motorsport festival, the Clipsal 500 has contributed $129.9million to the SA economy. The 2005 event in the judging attracted a national record 255, 600 people.
