Inaugural Accolade
Staged at the newly expanded Adelaide Convention Centre, the iBall is a semi—formal networking dinner where an anticipated 400—600 guests from the innovation and investment community will celebrate the first year of First Tuesday Adelaide’s collaboration and networking.
Featuring the FTAdelaide promotional mantra,“The future’s so bright we gotta wear shades” iBall’s purpose is to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the South Australian Innovation Community during 2001, and look forward to successes to come.
A highlight of the night itself will be the presentation of the inaugural Deloitte South Australian Innovator of the Year Award, 2001. The winner will receive a unique piece designed and made by that hub of the South Australian Arts & Craft industry, The Jam Factory.
As always, guests have been invited from the three constituent segments of the broad innovation community, as well as senior Government and political representatives and business and investment leaders.
As usual, to facilitate productive networking, guests will be identified by coloured dots on their nametags:
Green – Technology innovators and market entrepreneurs from all vertical industry clusters i.e. Water, Wine, IT & C, Biotechnology, Spatial, Technology, Defence, Automotive, etc.
Red – Venture Capitalists; Strategic Corporate Investors; Business Angels.
Yellow – Professional and general business service providers from the public and private sector;
The iBall venue, Adelaide Convention Centre, reflects the mood of the occasion. Newly opened after a $92 million extension, the expanded Convention Centre is the first of our North Terrace landmarks to face the Torrens as part of the reawakening of Adelaide’s riverfront. This world—class venue is a tremendous physical example of the positive change South Australia is undergoing.
