Doco makers seek risky business
An SBS documentary project delving into the drama and passion of small business is casting for participants in South Australia.
Risking It All will follow the fortunes of several small business start-ups for a period of months as the entrepreneurs sink or swim in their life-changing venture.
Adelaide based producer Claire Harris says the Risking It All concept is based on Risky Business which was a successful venture for Channel 4 in the UK. Here, the project will be a four-part series funded by SA Film Corporation and pre-sold to SBS.
“We’re looking for couples, pairs of people in the early stages of setting up a small business,” Claire says.
“We will follow them for six to nine months on the journey they take together.”
“We’re looking for people with a lot to risk, who’ve re-mortgaged the house, taken a payout from their job – people with something at risk.”
