Portal celebrates our Murray lifeline
Web design firm Design Train has taken on the daunting task of navigating the mighty Murray. Principal Shane Strudwick saw an opportunity in the “fragmented” way Australia’s natural wonder was presented on the web, and has drawn together tourism, regional and environmental interests to create a Murray ‘portal’.
“We’ve adopted the brand of River Murray Alive because of all the amazing things the Murray is for Australia,” Shane says.
Design Train was established in 2000 and has developed a range of clients in Mannum, Mildura and Echuca along the river.
“While developing their businesses and focusing on positioning their brand we observed that the Murray’s image nationally was under-developed and under-promoted as a diverse and outstanding Australian experience and national icon,” Shane says.
“The image of the Murray as a whole was seriously fragmented and poorly presented and didn’t reflect the quality of businesses...
