Wool industry future requires levy support
The South Australian Farmers' Federation (SAFF) Livestock Committee is recommending that the State's wool producers vote for an industry levy of at least 2% in the 2006 WoolPoll.
The WoolPoll is held every three years and gives growers the opportunity to vote on the rate of the compulsory industry levy, which goes to fund innovation and marketing activities. This year the levy options to be voted on are 0%, 1%, 2%, 2.5% and 3% respectively.<...
