DiMonte to lead national accounting body
Deloitte partner Rob DiMonte, who has been appointed national president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, plans to apply his extensive board experience in the new role to drive adoption of global accounting standards and attract young people to careers in commerce.
Rob, who will remain based in Adelaide, will lead the Board in setting and governing the strategic direction of the Institute across Australia.
He says his experience with SA Great (Deputy Chair) and the late vivaSA (Chair) has given him the strategic outlook he needs to be effective. He is also a member of the Institute of Company Directors and a Certified Management Consultant.
“I am looking forward to working on behalf of the Institute's 45,000 plus members and contributing to the future direction of the profession,” Rob says.
