Trade promoter‘s back-to-back win
For the second year running, Leon Coppins has been recognised with the prestigious International Business Ambassador award from the Council for International Trade and Commerce.
It's an understatement to call Leon an enthusiastic supporter of CITCSA and its international chambers of commerce and business councils. After decades of activity his global network extends from ambassadors and high commissioners to chambers of commerce, government agencies, business and the media. And he uses a lot of his contact time to promote CITCSA as a vehicle for international connections.
Convinced that the organisation's strength lies in the ethnic diversity of its membership base, Leon believes cultural collaboration is the key to opening new and rewarding business opportunities for all CITCSA members and associates.
Predominantly involved in developing business, bilateral trade and tourism, Leon is active in many countries and cities including Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Botswana, Chile (Santiago), China, Egypt, India and Italy.
A long-time member of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, Leon has been a board member since 2003. He has also been the President of AfricomSA since 2002, actively promoting that chamber.
Leon says significant bottom-line business solutions can be achieved through collaboration between all chambers under the CITCSA banner.
