SA Great....looking forward
SA Great recently announced its new strategic direction and guiding principles that will enable the organisation to meet the needs of the state. With members and partners, and in collaboration with like-minded organisations, SA Great will:
•Encourage younger people (under the age of 40) to live and work in South Australia
•Enhance the perceptions of South Australians to appreciate the uniqueness of the state and the benefits of living and working in it
•Promote the economic benefits, livability and sustainability of South Australia's lifestyle to people living outside of the state
•Promote programs that attract skilled people to live and work in SA and enhance South Australia's prosperity
•Celebrate the successes and achievements of metropolitan and regional South Australians
•Develop events targeted to the varied needs of members to enhance competitive and innovative business practices.
SA Great has hit the ground running in 2007, continuing with existing programs, adding new activity in and out of South Australia, and playing a role in ensuring a strong economic future for this state.
The Out of State program is a new initiative aimed at attracting younger people back to South Australia through targeted communication and events. SA Great will keep ex-pats informed and excited about our state's many attributes and advantages, and ensure they have the right information to make them great ambassadors for our state. This will be achieved through a cutting edge, informative 'Out of State' website and email newsletter that will go out to South Australians living out of the state.
On April 14 SA Great will hold a function for South Australians living in Victoria, based around the Crows vs Port 'Showdown'. The event will be a great opportunity for ex-pats to get together in the afternoon, eat and drink local produce while watching the footy in true SA style. Working together with th...
