Business starts at school for YAA
Young Achievement Australia began in 1977 with the idea of providing young Australians with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through enterprise learning.
Based at Adelaide University Research Park at Thebarton, YAA has been active in South Australia since 1978, with the ongoing support of local businesses, government and schools.
All young Australians can participate in the YAA Business Skills Program, regardless of their location, circumstances, curricula choice, career paths or academic strengths.

“This year there are approximately 600 students in South Australia who have applied to participate in the Young Achievement Australia Business Skills Program thus far, so we are looking for local business people to become involved as sponsors and mentors in order to offer the program to as many young South Australians as possible,” Mary says.
Businesses can get involved by:
•supporting the financial cost of a Business Skills Program;
•offering assistance and guidance to the participants as business mentors; and/or
•supplying a venue for weekly team meetings to be held at.
“We are also looking to partner with local businesses for our events throughout the year, including the Management Skills Seminar, Trade Expo, Networking Events...
