“It is our strong belief that at the end of each year any business should be able to look back and see that their operations have progressed in the areas of numbers of clients and improvements in their systems,” Managing Director John George says.
“On these two fronts we have moved forward with Whittles Body Corporate Management, establishing Branches in Darwin, Alice Springs and the Sunshine Coast.
“MGA Insurance Brokers has also expanded with branches in Sydney, the Sunshine coast, Darwin, Alice Springs and, most recently, Moonta, where we wish to share business opportunities as the region experiences growth in several quarters.
“In terms of turnover, our group’s gross receipts will be around $135 million this financial year, nearly double that of 2000 and up about 7% on last year.”
John says the past year has been a tough one, with the drought causing hardship across rural Australia.
“With 14 regional offices around SA, Victoria, NSW and Queensland, MGA has a strong presence (in) the Australian rural and regional sector, so we see first-hand the effect serious drought has on families and businesses within these communities,” he says. “The outlook certainly looks better this year, with widespread rains being experienced across the nation. We pray it will continue.”
