Driving business to new heights

Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO) began in the United States 20 years ago by a group of young, energetic entrepreneurs with the idea to set up a global network organisation for business owners to learn and grow their enterprises. EO is now a worldwide organisation and has over 6400 members in 40 different countries around the world.
The South Australian chapter of EO began in 1998 with five members and has grown its existing membership size of over 40. This prestigious organisation provides members with the opportunity to develop their business and personal objectives through peer-to-peer learning and once-in-a-lifetime event opportunities. All members have a common desire to expand their business, learn from others and share their experiences.
To qualify for the Entrepreneurs Organisation you need to be a founder, co-founder, owner or controlling shareholder of a company with a turnover of more than US$1million annually; and join before the age of 50. Members come from all walks of life, different occupations and run companies of every type and size. The total sales of all EO members worldwide is more than US$85 Billion.
New members are primarily sourced from their referral to the organisation by past and existing members. Membership and Communications Chair of EO South Australia, Kent Aughey says the organisation does hear of some cases where people come to us because they believe they meet our criteria.
“In such cases we would introduce them to what EO has to offer its membership,” he says.
The benefits of the organisation range from peer-to-peer learning, education forums, monthly meetings, trade conferences and industry shows, networking with members, public discussions, an entrepreneurial masters program, global conference calls, speakers database, mentorship and member exchange.
