SPUTNIK COMES TO ADELAIDE
Melbourne based online marketing agency, Sputnik is expanding into the Adelaide market.
The Adelaide office will be the first interstate office with further expansion planned for Sydney and Brisbane in early 2008.
“The time has come to implement a national expansion program, which will see an office in each major capital city,” says Sputnik’s MD, Gavin Campion.
The Adelaide office will be headed up by Mark Wightman.
HARRIS SCARFE IN ACCC FIRING LINE
Harris Scarfe has been accused of misleading advertising in their October 2006 sale TV and catalogue advertisements and will face court charges by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
The ACCC alleges the ads promoting “20 to 60% off storewide” sale were false as Harris Scarfe was not offering a discount on all goods in its stores or a minimum of 20% off all goods.
The ACCC is seeking a corrective advertising campaign from Harris Scarfe, declarations that it breached the Trade Practices Act, injunctions and costs. It is also seeking maintenance of Harris Scarfe’s compliance program and a review of its internal business operations.
