Corporates back youth arts spectacular

Australia’s biggest ever youth performing arts festival will take place in SA in May as the 16th International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ) World Congress entertains some 40,000 schoolchildren.
Sponsored by National Pharmacies, IGA and BHP Billiton, the event from 9-18 May 2008 will offer shows from around the world in spoken word, multimedia, dance, music, puppetry and physical theatre.
National Pharmacies has committed $150,000 in corporate sponsorship to the festival. IGA committed $100,000 and BHP Billiton committed $75,000 from the company’s youth arts fund.
