WHO ‘GOOGLED’ WHAT IN 2007
Every wondered what everyone is ‘googleing’? Facebook, Kevin Rudd, Summer Heights High, Packer’s wedding and Paris Hilton were just some of the most searched terms on Google’s Australian search engine in 2007.
According to Goggles End of Year Report, popular social networking site Facebook was the fastest rising search term in 2007, whilst ‘beer SA’ was at the top of the list for state/territory search for South Australia.
ADSHEL WINS ADELAIDE CONTRACT UNTIL 2018
Outdoor advertising firm Adshel has extended its contract with the City of Adelaide Council for another 11 years, taking it up to 2018 to continue its street furniture advertising agreement.
Adshel currently has more than 1,100 advertising panels across SA with 160 street panels in Adelaide CBD and 20 in the Adelaide Railway Station.
“This is another great win for Adshel and an exciting opportunity to develop the out of home media presence in Adelaide. We look forward to continuing our partnership with City of Adelaide Council,” says Adshel CEO, Steve McCarthy.
NINE FEELS SUMMER SLUMP IN RATINGS
The Nine Network has failed to reverse its ratings slump over the summer period, dropping more than 4% of total viewers compared to the same period in the previous 12 months.
According to OzTam figures, Seven increased it share by 4.4% over the first five weeks and Ten’s total share increased by 10%.
Channel Nine CEO David Gyngell has vowed to turn around the fortunes of the ailing network with a string of Australian produced programming set to debut this year. It has also reinstated its nine ball logo and re-introduced old favourites such as the Wide World of Sports.
