Australian investors seeking greener pastures

Socially responsible investing goes by many names: ethical, green, environmentally friendly or directed investments. By any name, it highlights a distinctive trait of its investors—they are concerned about more than just returns.
But its returns are by no means unimportant. In the US it has attracted $1 trillion in funds, in the UK $6 billion and in Canada, a country with a similar population to Australia, $4 billion. Yet Australians have invested just $200 million.
