Luke Dean a new career, by George

He’s been helping sell insurance to South Australians for four and a half years as George’s mate ‘Trev’ in the popular RAA television commercials, and now the man behind the character, Luke Dean, is turning his hand to real estate.

Before taking the new position as sales consultant with SA real estate group Brock Harcourts, Luke owned Scuzzi Café on O’Connell Street where the RAA commercials are filmed.

“Hospitality is a great industry, but the nature of the business is repetitive and the hours are long,” says Luke.

“Taking only a few days off a year is hard to maintain for a long period. It is also becoming harder with higher rents, the increasing cost of labour and produce and simply finding quality staff.

“All of this contributed to my realising that it was time for a change.”

Luke joined Brock Harcourt’s Adelaide office and has been assigned to the North Adelaide region, and says it was an obvious progression...
