Water alliance rewards global stars
This year’s six Water Industry Alliance award winners highlight an industry that’s making a global impact.

Chairman’s Award - Ian Smith, Chicago Trade Commissioner, Austrade
As well as putting together the first water-focussed trade mission to the US, Ian has played an exceptional role in facilitating networking introductions and promotional opportunities in the US – a key market for the South Australian water industry.
Collaborative Teaming Award - Waterproofing Northern Adelaide Regional Subsidiary
Playford, Salisbury and Tea Tree Gully councils have worked with the State and Commonwealth governments to fund a $104 million project to capture stormwater for irrigation. The Community Water Management System will replace 30% of the mains water usage in the region to ‘drought proof’ most major recreational areas and school ovals.
