When Mark Bouris, founder and Chairman of Wizard Home Loans, sold out to GE Capital he had made no plans for retirement.
Overnight Mark became a wealthy man thanks to the US giant, which valued his stake in the mortgage company he built from scratch at about $100 million.
But like many baby boomers Mark says he had no expertise in planning a retirement strategy.
“I was in my late forties and knew I had to do something about super and retirement,” says Mark, “but I didn’t know anything about it or who to ask.”
Mark decided to find the best strategy by engaging five of the top advisors, splitting his capital between them and putting their investment plans to work over the next two years.
