Green reno goal in easy reach at 19 Grenfell
Responding to a story in our last edition, airconditioning specialist Air Con Serve came forward with an example of the work being done to renovate the CBD’s older buildings.

owners need further incentives to renovate, when technology exists to let renovations pay for themselves almost immediately.
Had it been energy audited before refurbishment, Air Con Serve’s Wayne Ryan says 19 Grenfell Street (pictures above) probably would have rated below 3 stars on the National Australian Built Energy Rating System scale.
Refurbishment includes lighting and airconditioning upgrades and Air Con is aiming for a 5 star NABERS rating which no Adelaide CBD multistorey building has yet achieved.
