How 25 punds created a $300 million empire

With an idea and a seed capital of just 25 pounds, New Zealander John Anderson created leading tourism company, Contiki Tours.
Having made Contiki a household international brand name worth over $300 million, John will present an inspiring session, How to Build a Business From the Ground up, at Marketing Week 2008.
“From the ground up” is no exaggeration.
John started Contiki holidays on a trip to Europe in 1962 at the age of 22, with a beaten up mini bus, 11 strangers and the idea to travel around Europe.
From this vision and one single adventure that changed the life of John and his passengers, he realised that travel and a Contiki experience could also change the way people participated in travel experiences - and revolutionise travel worldwide.
