New small business expo is brewing
A new small business B2B expo is brewing, to take place during Small Business Month as a successful business event promoter expands its operations into South Australia.
Small Business Month included a centrepiece event in its first year (2006), which was omitted last year. The Brew Expo should help give the campaign some much-needed focus.
The Brew will be held over a day and a half (Monday, 27 October and Tuesday 28 October) at the Ridley Centre, Adelaide Showgrounds, from 1pm to 6.30pm on Monday and from 9am to 4.30pm on Tuesday.
Promoter, Regional Events Australia has since 1997 presented about 50 B2B expos, initially as a contracted event manager and from 2002 as promoter and financier in its own right.
REA has staged Bendigo Business Expo, Central Victorian Business Expo, Ballarat Business Expo, Geelong Business Expo, Wagga Wagga B2B Expo, Illawarra BizFest, Central Coast Business Expo, Hunter Business Expo and other events annually in NSW, Victoria and the ACT.
In 2008 REA is expanding into Queensland and SA and developing new branding as ‘The Brew’.

“Small business is no longer ‘centred’ on major centres Sydney and Melbourne, it is about accessing information and opportunities on a much larger scale. The expo is just one way to help grow business locally.
“The aim of our events and the online resources of The Brew is to bring business together; to connect businesses and business operators so that they can access information and inspiration to build both their business and the local business community.”
