World working towards fresh image
Printer cartridge recycling firm Cartridge World now boasts 1660 franchises in 52 countries and with only a third of them to manage, Regional Managing Director Mike fuller has his hands full.
Mike, who also handles master franchisee development for the group, now oversees one-third of Cartridge World’s world - Australia, the Pacific and Middle East - with Europe and the Americas under different direct management from offices in San Francisco (Americas) and Harrowgate (UK and Europe).
CW operates in three layers, with master franchisees between the corporate level and the shop operators. While Mike says it is up to master franchisees to set up new shops, CW regularly takes part in trade exhibitions and he says internet enquiry is active.
“In our franchisee system we have trained candidates from 76 years old to 14,” Mike says. “We’ve trained pastors, physicians, policemen, schoolteachers ... there’s no easy way to locate a good franchisee (by profession)...
