Accurate foresight about SA’s tourism sector is rewarding audio product business, Carlisle Enterprises.
Creative Director Joy Hosemans, was producing marketing and promotional material for the Sydney retail sector when she decided to relocate Carlisle to Adelaide in 2004 and focus on tourism.
Carlisle now makes promotional audio programs for clients including the SA Tourism Commission, Stamford Plaza Hotel and Australian Pacific Touring.
In January, the firm launched a “world first”. Driven by global positioning technology, the new system plays commentary at strategic points along a tour route.
Tracks in several languages can be delivered to individual passengers using seat-mounted touch pads and headsets.
A coach version developed for Sealink’s Platinum Tour of Kangaroo Island has a multiple language facility and there’s an in-car application for the self-drive market along the Fleurieu Way, commissioned by Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism.
