Percat trades on progress
Sophisticated water trading methodology will not only make Australia use water more efficiently but can generate export income, according to Adelaide-based Percat Water.
Percat’s operations include buying water, brokering water deals, leasing deals, water management plans, and investment in water licences, which is a growing business estimated to be worth $75 million.
A recent Percat innovation has been to enable the sale and lease back of water, where a property owner can sell permanent title and buy a water licence back after a period of time.
