Hames Sharley has a decades-long track record of achievement with Defence Department work in SA.
“Over the past 20 years, Hames Sharley has built a strong relationship with defence and values the work we do with the Army, Navy and Air Force, as well as specialised units (SAS Regiment) and training facilities,” says Peter McGregor.
Hames Sharley has developed specialist skills in delivering facilities and a team of 10 architects and interior designers in the Adelaide office is working on several projects in the Edinburgh Defence Precinct.
On the Defence, Science & Technology Organisation site, a new facility for the Over The Horizon Radar System Program Office, extension to the Combat and Mission Systems Research Centre, and major refurbishment of two facilities for the Weapons System Division including the Countermine Facility are nearing completion. Work is also underway on designs for a new 2400m2 building to house RAAF 462 Squadron, now based in Canberra.
